Itâs one thing to wear cowboy boots to the club, and another to ride horses smack-dab in the middle of Manhattan. That is, unless youâre Bella Hadid. For the super model slash equestrian, thatâs just another New York Fashion Week. Yee-haw.
Hadid was photographed in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan on September 12 in full riding gear to celebrate the premiere of the short documentary Windows to the West: Horse Sense, starring her real-life cowboy boyfriend Adan Banuelos. The event was complete with a cutting demonstration (cutting is Banuelosâs specialty, and a form of equestrian competition that Hadid has also taken up in recent months) in a modestly sized ring erected in the middle of the street.

While Hadidâs look was completely practical for the act of riding horses, including chaps, mid-rise indigo-wash jeans, and boots with the spurs, her Susamusa pinstriped shirt, unbuttoned to her sternum, was very much giving Samantha Jones dressing up for a cowboy-themed New York City soiree. At least Hadid had the riding chops to back up the outfit.
The event was held at the western wear brand Kemo Sabeâs New York City pop-up store. Per WWD, the pop-up is modeled to resemble the brandâs flagship store in Aspenâa favorite stomping ground for celebrities who are looking to stock up on high-end western accessories, from cowboy hats to boots to belts with gargantuan buckles.
