Good night and good luck spotting Jennifer Lopez’s micro French manicure.
On April 4, Jennifer Lopez attended the black tie premiere of Broadway’s Good Night and Good Luck wearing a plunging black velvet gown Saiid Kobeisy with a removable ivory taffeta cape that was anything but low-key. However, the 55-year-old managed to strike the perfect balance of Hollywood glamour and timeless elegance, pairing the look with a ’70s vintage onyx and diamond statement necklace by Van Cleef & Arpels, coordinated drop earrings by Boucheron, and a classic approach to glam.
Lopez kept her hair down with a slight wave, adding a breezy touch to her formal attire, which she countered with a smokey eye and glossy pinkish-nude lip combo that’s perfect for a black tie occasion. Then there’s her nails.
Jennifer Lopez stepped out with a blink-and-you-miss-it French manicure, courtesy of celebrity nail artist Elle Gerstein. Starting with a base of Aprés Nail’s sheer gel shade “I Vow to You,” Gernstein topped off the soap nail look with an ultra-fine white line across the tip of Lopez’s oval-shaped nails to create this “micro French manicure.”

Jennifer Lopez has experimented with nearly every nail trend under the sun, but she always returns to a French manicure in some form or another. Last May, she gave French nails an unexpected summer twist with translucent tips before transitioning into fall with a classic almond-shaped French manicure with a thick beige tip, proving there are endless ways to shake up the classic style. Who knows what style she’ll go for next?
