December 2, 2021: Collins tells Glamour about her husband’s visits to the set of Emily in Paris. “When Charlie came to Paris with our dog, Redford, it was like getting the family back together again,” Collins says. “This season felt what it would feel like to be a resident of sorts, because when you add having a dog, you then get to experience it as someone living there would. And we got to travel a bit around Europe for a few days; we went to Copenhagen [with my in-laws, Mary Steenburgen and Ted Danson] purely for the fact that we got a reservation at Noma [one of the best restaurants in the world]. Scandinavia has become so important to us, as you can tell by where we decided to take our honeymoon. Copenhagen is our favorite city.”
November 23, 2021: Collins tells Vogue Australia that being directed by her then-fiancé was less “stressful” than she thought it would be. “I thought it would be harder, I have to say,” she says. “I thought it would be more stressful to have to work with him, but it honestly was really amazing and freeing. It was great, and I’m really, really proud of the movie, and I’m proud of him. It’s a different type of role for me.”
October 12, 2021: The pair honeymoon in Scandinavia. “Our Scandinavian honeymoon may be over but the adventure definitely is not,” Collins captions a photo roundup. “I can’t imagine a more memorable, magical first trip as newlyweds and way to officially begin our lives together. There’s no one I’d rather airplane hop and road trip with. Here’s to the many more epic experiences to come…”
September 4, 2021: The pair are wed in Dunton, Colorado. “I’ve never wanted to be someone’s someone more than I do yours, and now I get to be your wife,” Collins writes a few days later. “On September 4th, 2021 we officially became each other’s forever. I love you beyond @charliemcdowell…”

October 1, 2020: Collins tells Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest that she wanted to be McDowell’s “wife” from day one. “It was one of those situations where I knew the second I met him that I wanted to be his wife one day,” she says on Live with Kelly and Ryan. “So, it was just a matter of when, really.”
September 25, 2020: Collins announces their engagement, writing, “I’ve been waiting my lifetime for you and I can’t wait to spend our lifetime together…”
