Now that itâs September, even though itâs technically not fall for another three weeks, thereâs definitely a shift in seasonal vibes. You probably have a friend or two who canât wait any longer and have fully shifted into a deep color palette that fast-forwards through changing leaves straight into vamp territory, but some of usâlike Selena Gomezâare making the transition at a more subdued pace, made apparent by her latest manicure.
Gomez spent the weekend at Coloradoâs Telluride Film Festival, where she was promoting the film Emilia Perez and also, adorably, attending a volleyball match at the local high school. Could you even imagine trying to serve knowing Selena Gomez is sitting on the bleachers? And, of course, Gomez herself was serving in a different way, looking absolutely gorgeous in a casual yet chic outfit made up of jeans, a black tee, and a pinstriped blazer that was slightly obscured by her long, loose waves.
But take a close look at the pockets of her jeans and youâll see her thumbs jauntily posed, exposing the prettiest nail polish color that says, âIâm ready for fall, but letâs not go overboard.â
Nail artist Tom Bachik calls it âtoffee nails,â and understandably so. The shade is a lovely light brown with a hint of blushing beige undertones. Specifically, he used the Aprés Nail Light & Shadow Sheer Gel Couleur shade Be Still.
Itâs no surprise that Gomez picked a color that suggests sheâs ready for fall. In the last month, sheâs been spotted with both a spicy orange manicure and a deep red look too. But this latest look is truly ideal for anyone whoâs just tiptoeing into autumn instead of diving headfirst into Halloween season.
