Have you heard the latest rumor about Love Is Blind? Allegedly, Sara and Joey are dating, a year after rejecting Ben and Monica, respectively, at the altar in the season eight finale. Is it just me, or does Love Is Blind season eight have more drama off-screen than onscreen? Because this would be major, if true.
During the reunion, Sara Carton revealed that she and Ben Mezzenga briefly tried dating after she said no to marrying him on the show. The relationship ended, Carton claimed, after Mezzenga reneged on his offer to move to Nashville with her and abruptly cut off contact. But the real surprise had to do with Joey Leveille, who, up to that point, had been cast in a solidly golden retriever light. Leveille’s ex-fiancée, Monica Danús, and Madison Errichiello, who left the pods without getting engaged, accused Leveille of sliding into Errichiello’s DMs once everyone was back in Minnesota. Leveille claimed the message was purely friendly, but Danús, Errichiello, and Love Is Blind fans worldwide all remained unconvinced.

Which brings us back to today. Carton has stated that she is single and that she and Leveille are just friends, but that hasn’t stopped the Sara and Joey dating rumors from swirling.
To that end, here is a timeline of all the gossip, with most recent events first.
March 13, 2025: Carton denies rumors she and Leveille are dating on the Viall Files podcast. “I’ve seen this a few times online in the past 24 hours,” Carton said. “To be clear, me and Joey are not dating.”
She explained, “There was a love square between me, Monica, Ben, and Joey. We were all talking to each other until the second to last day in the pods.” Through that, Carton said, “Me and Joey did establish a really great friendship.” But, she also said, she feels very well supported by everyone in her little crew of friends from “the experiment.” Of Leveille, she only said, “I’m just very grateful that I’ve met him. We definitely have a friendship. We’re definitely not dating.” Then again, she didn’t necessarily rule out ever forming a real romance with him.
